JacquelineJacqueline Fernandez, a model and actress from Sri Lanka, was born 11 August 1985. Her work includes roles in Hindi films and reality TV shows. She made her debut with Hindi films in the year 2009 along with Aladin. Fernandez is the child of an ethnically diverse Eurasian family, including a Canadian, Sri Lankan and Malaysian mother. She was born and raised in Bahrain, a country that is a part of. She graduated in mass communication at the University of Sydney, and was a reporter for a television station in Sri Lanka. Then she was a model. In 2006, she was Miss Universe Sri Lanka and was the country's representative in Miss Universe 2006. Since the month of December 2021 Fernandez is being investigated into the case of money laundering that involved more than Rs200 million. Fernandez was detained by the Enforcement Directorate for 10 hours on the 9th day of December 2021. On 22 December ED rejected Fernandez's request to reduce the Lookout Circular (LOC) which was issued to her in the matter that restricts her travel to outside India
