Carey is a former high fashion model, who measures at nearly 5'10" she was a favorite of American fashion houses like Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Her father was a renowned scientist and was recognized as the Scientist in 1979 by the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey has traveled throughout the world due to his profession. While in college she started modeling in a part-time capacity and caught the eye from Ford model Agency representatives in New York. After moving to France and briefly resided between Paris, Bordeaux and New York She decided to return in New York and continue her training. In the next few months, Vogue, Glamour and others were featured on their cover. While she was modeling, she was a full-time student who was pursuing a degree in literary studies at New York University. When she arrived in New York she began to pursue acting. Her debut as an actor was a role with Robin Williams in the 1986 film 'Club Paradise. When she is not working she loves skiing and windsurfing, climbing up rocks as well as whitewater rafting.
