Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd was 14 when she began to train in combat sports. Along with BJJ as well, she was also trained in boxing, wrestling and kickboxing. At age 18, Ladd made her amateur debut at WCFC. Ladd had an amazing 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In the three fights, she defeated her opponent right in the first round. After that, she returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen initially defeated Silvia Babyghian, before heading to face Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9, where she faced Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia defeated Aspen to beat her a unanimous vote, leaving a black mark on Ladd's records for amateur. Ladd was victorious in her subsequent fight with Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 mark. Aspen began her career in the year 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC for her professional debut. Aspen fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and dominated her to secure a first-round TKO. Invicta Combat Championships 16, Aspen won her next bout against Amanda Cooper through a second-round Armbar submission. Aspen used her wrestling expertise to knock out McGill with a TKO during the third round (elbows and punches). Aspen then went on to fight Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 in a catchweight of 138.1lb. Ladd was not capable of achieving the weight however, Aspen took the victory and defeated Hoy with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she won her final fight with the promotion by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina by using the ground and pound strategy which resulted in the TKO second round victory. Ladd remained in the lead as she picked up an even bigger victory against Tonya Avinger in UFC 229 with her next fight. Ladd beat Evinger within the first minute and earned a reward for her performance during the evening. Sijara Eubanks from Invicta FC was her opponent for an rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was her debut major fight. The two fighters put on a back-and-forth encounter that ended with Ladd taking a unanimous win and both fighters received the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie was able to finish the fight in just 16 seconds and finish Ladd and her winning streak. Yana Knitskaya fell in the third at UFC 7.7 on ESPN. Her most recent bout for the UFC she fought Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 to replace her fight. Her loss was a unanimous one.
